About

Hello, my name is Courtney, and I am a girl just trying to figure life out.

Why Cantankerous and Gregarious? Well, you see, in high school I was a social being… I also have a voice that carries for eons… This got me into trouble a few times, but never worse than my Honors Chemistry class. On two separate occasions my teacher had me stand in front of the class room and pull out the dictionary. He would then tell me a word, make me repeat the word, spell it in front of the class, and then read the definition.

C-A-N-T-A-N-K-E-R-O-U-S
difficult or irritating to deal with
G-R-E-G-A-R-I-O-U-S
a : tending to associate with others of one’s kind :  social b :  marked by or indicating a liking for companionship :  sociable c :  of or relating to a social group

This would go on to be the same man who said I “would never succeed in science, so give up now” in front of my class.

So I did what anyone would do in the face of utter humiliation in high school…
I embraced the names he called me, and then proved him wrong.
Oh, and I aced my physics courses in college.
To this day I am still a social creature, and at times I am very difficult to deal with, but I am also trying to be better, to constantly learn, and to try new things.
This is for anyone and everyone who has been put down, shamed, or made to feel less than they are: be who you want to be, and tell the world to suck it.
 This is me!

My psych teacher told the class that it was laughable that I was considering going to college and that I should just find a job after hs… And not take anymore of his psych courses. Not only did I graduate from college…but with a BS in Psych! Suck it! Haha

I also brought him my degree when I finished and told him the story, he felt SO bad. Damn eight he should!
